-
- Reasonable I suppose. Personally I would never have touched the UK end of
- MaxsNet because the people running it were, well, they had some ego problems :)
-
- >2) Some people think all the MAXsBBS doors that are available all come
- >from the UK
-
- Most of the better/more popular ones come from down here in Australia...
-
- >3) some people wanted a UK only network with no foreigners
-
- That's just silly.
-
- >4) some people thought it would be cool to start their own net
-
- Ego...
-

-
- I doubt anybody in here really cares if you knock it or not...
-
- >1) if you are so tight, will you really poll each other enough times in
- >a week to ensure a good service?
-
- They didn't want to pay any more than is _necessary_ it seems, and phone calls
- are necessary for netmail...
-
- >2 & 3) If you want to support DOORs makers, they DO come from other

-
- MaxsNet isn't controlled from the UK side of things. And since alot of the
- development mail, and distribution of doors is and will be done via the
- internet, it won't make much of a difference.
-
- It's their loss, anyway...
-
- >now, i WILL be polling for MAXsNET II some time in the future - but i am
-
- How nice for you...
-
- >hoping that i can send the packets down to australia - where they would
- >want to read them too! :) :)
-
- I doubt it. MaxsNet is effectively dead in Australia now. Sydney has been
- cutoff because the co-ordinator in Adelaide didn't like a single user up here,
- so the flow of mail would be pretty low, and considering that the
- crap:worthwhile_mail ratio was always about 10:1, I doubt it'd be worth
- reading.
